What are the main steps to adopt a pet from Space Pets?
Our adoption journey is simple and clear:

3. Initial chat: A friendly phone call to understand your needs and preferences.
4. Home check: We'll visit to ensure a safe and loving environment.
5. Meet & greet: Spend time with your chosen pet to confirm it's the right fit. You can then decide to adopt!
ADOPTION FEE
For every animal we rehome we do have an adoption fee which goes towards helping cover the cost of food, vet bills, neutering, vaccinations and care of the animals when they are with us. Our adoption fees are non-negotiable and non-refundable as they allow us to continue the work we do. The adoption fees are as follows:
- CATS (1 year plus) £100, a pair of cats is £160
- KITTENS (under a year) £120, a pair of kittens is £200
What's the most important aspect of your adoption process?
Our process is thorough yet thoughtful, always prioritising each animal’s welfare. We provide continued care and regular contact, ensuring you feel supported throughout your pet’s life. We focus on finding practical solutions and offering unwavering support—something that defines us as a small, dedicated rescue committed to the long‑term wellbeing of every animal we rehome.
Do you adopt to people in flats, with children or other pets, or if they work full-time?
Yes - we consider all applications. We successfully rehome pets to individuals living in flats, families with children, and homes with existing pets. We also adopt to people who don’t work from home, as long as suitable arrangements are in place to support the pet’s wellbeing. Every application is assessed on lifestyle, suitability, and the ability to meet the animal’s needs, rather than generic factors like property type.
We also provide full rescue backup for the pet’s entire life, ensuring they always have a safe haven if circumstances change.
Ryder - AVALIABLE
Meet Ryder - a gorgeous 5‑month‑old domestic short hair with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Ryder is a playful, confident young cat who loves spending time with his foster cat, dog, and human family. His daily routine includes enthusiastic 2pm zoomies followed by a cosy nap on the floor - his favourite way to recharge before more fun.
He is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and ready for his forever home. Ryder can happily live with other cats, dogs, and children, making him a great fit for a variety of households. His foster carers describe him as social, curious, and full of charm.
Ryder is currently in foster care in SE15 and is looking for a loving home to continue his growth, care, and companionship.
Cali & Coco - AVALIABLE
Meet Cali and Coco - a dynamic, inseparable duo searching for their forever home together. These two girls are deeply bonded and do everything side‑by‑side: playing, eating, grooming, and curling up for cosy naps. All of their kittens have now found loving homes, and it’s finally their turn to enjoy the same happy ending.
Cali and Coco love to lounge but will happily remind you when it’s time for first, second, and third dinner. They enjoy fuss, pets, and attention, and are known for being wonderfully talkative, cheerful companions who brighten any room they’re in.
Both girls are spayed, microchipped, and have started their vaccine course. They are affectionate, social, and ready to bring double the love to a home that welcomes them together.
Cali and Coco are currently in foster care in SE25 and are looking for a calm, loving home where they can continue thriving as the perfect pair.
Bishop - ALMOST READY
Meet Bishop — a confident, affectionate young girl around 10 months old who is ready to soak up all the love for herself. Bishop is an outgoing, people‑focused cat who loves greeting anyone who crosses her path. She was surrendered with her sister Babybel, but it’s clear she thrives best as an only pet, where she can enjoy undivided attention and all the affection she craves.
During the day, Bishop adores being close to her humans, following you around and happily soaking up fuss and affection. At night, she transforms into the perfect cuddle companion, settling in beside you for cosy snuggles. She is super friendly, social, and confident, and can live happily with children.
Bishop will be spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped in the coming weeks, and she’s ready to find a loving home that can give her the dedicated companionship she deserves.
Babybel - ALMOST READY
Meet Babybel - a calm, gentle young girl around 10 months old who loves nothing more than quietly watching the world go by. Babybel was surrendered with her sister Bishop, and while they’ve both adapted beautifully in foster care, Babybel has shown herself to be a wonderfully chilled, easygoing cat who enjoys a peaceful, steady routine.
She adores head pets, gentle fuss, and relaxing near her humans. Her foster describes her as incredibly sweet, soft‑natured, and happy to simply “go with the flow.” She’s the kind of cat who brings a sense of calm to any home.
Babybel will be spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped in the coming weeks before heading off to her new family. She can live with children and other cats with a slow, thoughtful introduction.
Babybel is currently in foster care in SE26 and is ready to find a loving home that appreciates her gentle, relaxed personality.
Layla - RESERVED
Meet Layla — a beautiful, gentle little girl around 18 months old who is ready for a fresh start after raising her four kittens. Layla arrived in rescue with her babies, all of whom have now found loving homes. Now it’s her turn to enjoy the same care and comfort she gave to them.
She is a purr machine crossed with a cuddle monster, absolutely adoring any attention that comes her way. Layla is soft, sweet, and gentle when asking for fuss — offering little head nudges, body rubs, and quiet requests for affection. She loves her food and greets her foster carers with a happy chirrup whenever she sees them.
Layla is booked to be spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped during the week commencing the 17th, after which she’ll be ready for her perfect forever home. She can live happily with children, making her a lovely fit for a calm, affectionate household.
Layla is currently in foster care in SE26.
Buzz - Avaliable
Meet Buzz - a 17‑year‑old male Ragdoll looking for a calm, loving retirement home. Buzz is a sweet, steady senior who enjoys a peaceful life and gentle companionship. He has his playful moments and loves spending time near his humans, happily relaxing in the same room and seeking out fuss and head pets when he wants attention. He’s largely independent but deeply appreciates calm, reassuring company.
Buzz has met calm dogs in foster and has shown no negative reaction, making him a suitable match for a quiet home with respectful pets. His ideal environment is one where he can enjoy comfort, routine, and a soft spot to snooze the day away.
He is currently in foster care in SE18 and is ready to find a serene retirement home where he can enjoy his golden years with kindness and stability.
